Job summary

Simpled Services Ltd in Greater London is seeking a reliable plasterer with real plastering experience to handle damp, mould, leaks and skim repairs in properties between tenants. You’ll work self-employed, using your own tools, transport and a phone to capture site photos.

Paid per job, with the price agreed upfront before work starts, and signed off with pictures. You must have public liability insurance or be willing to obtain it before the first assignment, and be registered as self-employed

• A phone to take photos on; every job is signed off with pictures.

Job description

Most of our plastering follows damp, mould or a leak. Walls get hacked off, treated and rebuilt, and the finish has to be flat enough for a decorator to follow you the next day.

There are full room and full property skims too, mostly in empty properties between tenants.

What the work is

• Patch and skim after damp, mould and leak repairs.
• Full room skims and reboarding where the wall cannot be saved.
• Leave a finish a decorator can work on without rescuing it.
• Photograph the wall before you cover the evidence of what caused it.
