Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking a Plasterer with render and hardwall skills for sites in Exeter, Devon. You will join a small but busy team delivering high-quality commercial refurbishments across shopfitting and office spaces.

The role requires proven plastering experience, a CSCS card, and the ability to work with render and lime mixes. Driving licence is a plus. Excellent time keeping and tidiness are essential on this site.

Qualifications

• Proven plastering experience with render and hardwall.
• CSCS card required for site access.
• NVQ is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Apply bonding agents or primers.
• Fit beads and render components to specification.
• Mix render or hardwall to correct consistency.
• Work with lime render mixes where required.
• Float and set plaster to finish quality.
• Prepare surfaces for finishing plaster if needed.
• Ensure proper drying times and protect finished work.
• Maintain a tidy work area and safe site.
• Check finished work for hollows, cracks or defects.

Commercial build–Construction,office and shopfloor refurbs.
Location – Exeter, Devon

An excellent opportunity to be introduced to a southwest based internal fit-out contractoroperating within the construction sector. They provide a variety of trade services within the shopfitting andcommercialbuilding industry.
They pride themselveson delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service, as a small but busy team ofskilled professional trades.

Day to day:

• Apply bonding agents or primers.
• Fit angle beads, stop beads, centrebeads, etc.
• Mix render or hardwall plaster to the correct consistency.
• Experience and competence in workingwith lime render mixes.
• Float and set.
• Prepare hardwall forfinishing plasterif needed.
• Allow suitable drying or curing times.
• Protect newly applied work if needed.
• Clean working areas, and waste material.
• Check the finished work for hollows, cracks, unevenness, and defects.

Requirements:

• NVQ’sare preferable but not essential.
• CSCS card is essential.
• Proven experience in plastering.
• Must be able to work with render and hardwall.
• Must be able to float and set
• Driving license is preferable but not essential.
• Good time keeping.
• Good work ethic.
• Maintain a tidy work area.
