Job summary

NEOS Recruitment is seeking a skilled Plant Workshop Engineer in Gloucestershire to service, repair and maintain a diverse range of plant equipment. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults, repair engines and hydraulic systems, and ensure all work is documented and compliant with safety standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in plant engineering, a full driving licence, and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance with a focus on quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Plant Engineer or Workshop Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of engines, electronics and hydraulics.
• Experience diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on plant or specialist equipment.
• A full, valid driving licence is required.
• Welding experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of plant and specialist equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Work on engines, electrical systems and hydraulic components.
• Carry out inspections, fault-finding and preventative maintenance.
• Complete repairs and servicing to a high standard, ensuring machinery is safe and operational.
• Identify faults efficiently and determine the most effective repair solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed.
• Keep the workshop clean, organised and compliant with health and safety requirements.
