Job summary

Huws Gray Plant & Tool Hire in Oxford is seeking a Hire Driver/Fitter to deliver, collect and support the safe, efficient distribution of hire kit from a local branch. You’ll ensure equipment is checked, and that all transactions are handled with a professional, friendly approach.

You’ll join a team-focused environment with on-the-job training, opportunities for progression, and a commitment to flexible working where possible.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Positive attitude and teamwork encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Check kit and vehicles to ensure safety and proper recording.
• Keep the workshop tidy and look after hire equipment at the branch.
• Handle deliveries and collections, transporting equipment safely and smoothly.
• Assist customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Support stock checks and help the team as needed.

Our Hire Driver Fitters play a key role in ensuring hire equipment is delivered, collected, and distributed safely and efficiently to our customers. Based out of one of our branches, you’ll be part of a hardworking, team-focused environment where everyone pulls together to provide outstanding service and get the job done right.

What you’ll be doing:

• Checking over kit and vehicles regulary, making sure everything’s safe, working properly and recorded
• Keeping the workshop tidy - looking after the hire equipment at your branch
• Getting equipment where it needs to go - handling deliveries, collections and transport safely and smoothly
• Helping customers out in a friendly, professional way
• Chipping in with stock checks and lending a hand wherever the team needs you
