Job summary

Tarmac is seeking a hands-on Plant Supervisor for Agecroft Concrete Plant in Salford. You will oversee day-to-day ReadyMix plant operations, drive safety culture, manage production activities and costs while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires strong leadership, good communication, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement in a fast-paced industrial environment. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience leading site operations in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
• Experience with risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
• Excellent communication and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the ReadyMix plant ensuring safety, quality and performance.
• Report to Production Manager; manage production activities, costs and service delivery.
• Batch concrete to customer specs while meeting quality requirements.
• Identify and implement improvements to plant performance and processes.
• Manage contractor activities and site costs within budget.
