Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking a hands-on Plant Operative in West Yorkshire. You'll work Monday to Friday on alternating early/late shifts, 40 hours per week, with overtime available. Training is provided and you’ll be part of a supportive team.

Responsibilities include operating a counterbalance forklift, running sand drying and mortar mixing systems, loading lorries, and basic quality checks in the lab. A reliable, organized candidate with a driving license fits well.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license (Category B)
• Experience in a similar environment
• Basic IT skills

Responsibilities

Pay rate: £14.41 per hour (£29985.56 per annum)
Overtime available.

What You'll Be Doing

Don't worry if you've never done this before - we'll train you. Your day-to-day will include:

• Driving a counterbalance forklift and loading shovel to keep production moving
• Running our automated sand drying and mortar mixing systems from the control room
• Loading lorries safely and efficiently
• Carrying out simple quality checks in our lab (nothing complicated!)
• Helping keep the factory tidy, safe and well maintained
• Preparing silo equipment ready for customer delivery
• Pitching in with other general factory tasks as needed

What We're Looking For

You don't need to tick every box. If you're reliable, organised and keen to learn, you'll fit right in.

Essential

• Full UK driving license (Category B)
• Experience working in a similar environment
• Basic IT Skills required

Helpful but not essential

• Loading shovel experience
• FLT CB License
