Job summary

Rich Products UK is seeking a Multi-Skilled Operations Engineer to maintain and improve plant machinery in a fast-paced FMCG environment. You will perform breakdown repairs, run planned preventative maintenance, and contribute to project work while ensuring safety, legal and customer quality standards are met.

You will drive OEE improvements, propose CI initiatives, and collaborate with production, engineering and hygiene teams to minimise downtime and waste.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in reliability/production engineering within FMCG manufacturing or packaging.
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic understanding with RCA capability.
• CI and Lean principles used to drive operational improvements.
• Ability to read/update electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation (LOLER, PUWER, PAT etc).
• Knowledge PLC technology.
• Completed apprenticeship or graduate scheme.
• Certifications in electrical safety and leadership are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve plant machinery to ensure safe, compliant production.
• Perform breakdown repairs and execute planned preventive maintenance.
• Contribute to project work and equipment design improvements.
• Record data for detailed analysis and drive targeted improvements.
• Promote HSE policies and ensure regulatory and quality standards.
• Improve OEE by reducing downtime and increasing reliability.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, hygiene and other teams.
• Support autonomous maintenance and CI initiatives.
• Help implement manufacturing process improvements and energy efficiency.
