Job summary

Rygor Plant is seeking an experienced Plant Technician with HGV expertise to maintain and service plant machinery and heavy vehicles. The role focuses on high-quality repairs, PDI tasks, and proactive maintenance to maximise uptime.

The successful candidate will possess a Level 3 qualification (HGV and plant) and hold a full UK driving licence, joining a team committed to exceptional service and ongoing training. This is a hands-on technician role within the Rygor Group network.

Qualifications

Level 3 qualification in HGV vehicle repair and maintenance (NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI).
Ability to identify worn and faulty components per DVSA standards.
Full UK driving licence for relevant vehicle and machinery classes.

Responsibilities

Perform major and minor repairs to plant machinery and heavy vehicles.
Carry out PDI work and attachment setup on plant machinery.
Mobile repair and maintenance of plant machinery.
Conduct regular inspection and preventive maintenance according to hours and schedules.
Maintain inventory and cleanliness in the service vehicle.
Collaborate with sales and repair teams to ensure quality service.
Document repairs and warranty claims; escalate as needed.
Provide in-house training to recruits and trainees.
