Job description
Overview

My very busy well-established recycling clients are now looking to add to their ever-increasing workload Plant Operatives on a temp-perm contract to start asap.

Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: You will be responsible for a range of material handling tasks, including loading and unloading materials using a Fork Lift Truck (FLT).
  • Bulk Handling: Perform bulk handling tasks using a JCB, such as bucket work and operation of screeners/shredders, to ensure efficient processing of recycled materials.
  • Machine Operation: Operate machinery to oversee the recycling process, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high-quality output.
  • Safety and Housekeeping: Maintain general housekeeping and ensure a safe working environment including keeping the outside yard clean and tidy. Adhering strictly to all Environmental, Health, and Safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Prioritising and promoting safety in all aspects of work.
  • Site Operations: Operate the site and production processes safely and efficiently, contributing to our commitment to sustainability and responsible waste management.
  • Team Support: Assist with other duties as needed, collaborating with colleagues to achieve production targets and maintain a high standard of work.
Hours and Pay
  • Basic: £13.17 + shift allowance 20%: 2.63
  • Total hourly rate: £15.80
  • Hours will be 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am on the 3 week shift rota, paid for 167 hours per month.
