Tillicoultry Quarries Ltd. is seeking a Plant Fitter for our Kings Lynn site (PE30 4NG) in East Anglia. The role is mobile, requiring travel between quarries and plants within the region.

You will work in a busy site environment with a focus on safety and reliability. We offer enhanced overtime rates, a company pension and strong development opportunities in a family-run business that prioritises people and progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in a mechanical background is essential.
• Experience in an extractives environment (sand and gravel) is desirable.
• Qualification in Plant maintenance/Agriculture/Mechanical Engineering (NVQ/CityGuilds) preferred.
• Experience maintaining heavy earth-moving, crushing & screening equipment including major brands.

Responsabilités

• Ensure duties comply with Health and Safety policy and guidelines.
• Routine servicing of mobile and fixed equipment.
• Breakdown and defect repair.
• Fault finding and diagnosis.
• Maintain company vehicles and equipment in a safe, clean state.
• Planned inspection and maintenance.

THE ROLE

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Plant Fitter for our site at Kings Lynn (PE30 4NG). The successful candidates should be customer focused, reliable, well organised and be able to work well as part of a team in a busy site environment. This is a mobile role and travelling between quarries and plants in East Anglia will be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all duties carried out to Company Health and Safety Policy and Guidelines.
• Routine Servicing of Mobile and fixed Equipment.
• Breakdown and defect repair.
• Fault finding and Diagnosis.
• Ensure Company vehicles and equipment are maintained in a safe, clean and tidy state.
• Planned inspection and planned maintenance.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU

• Experience in a mechanical background.
• Experience working in an extractive’s environment (Sand and gravel)
• Experience maintaining and repairing concrete and/or asphalt plants is desirable.
• A qualification in either Plant maintenance/ Agriculture/ Mechanical Engineeringthis can be NVQ /CityGuilds.
• Experience maintaining a wide range of heavy earth moving, crushing & screening equipment including Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Metso, & Finlay.
• Experience in using burning/ cutting equipment,
• Welding experience would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills – able to communicate effectively in order to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills – can identify the problem and generate a solution in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Flexible approach to work – able to go that extra mile when required and revise approach to meet operational requirements.
