We currently have an exciting role for a Plant Fitter to join our clients well established team in Halstead, Essex!

Salary is £15 - £19/hour

Responsibilities:

Conducting regular maintenance and repair work on plant machinery and equipment

Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues and faults

Ordering and replacing faulty plant components and parts

Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace

Keeping accurate records of maintenance and repair work done on plant machinery and equipment

Training and mentoring junior fitters and apprentices

Liaising with other plant operators and managers to ensure efficient plant operations

Attending to emergency breakdowns and repairs when necessary

Requirements:

Strong mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge of plant machinery

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

Experience in diagnosing and repairing faults on a range of machinery

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team

Ability to adhere to health and safety guidelines
