The Best Connection Group is seeking an experienced Plant Fitter to join a busy workshop near Goole. You will service and repair plant machinery, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, and commercial vehicles, ensuring work is safe and of high quality.

You will diagnose faults, perform servicing, and work in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on safe working practices. A Full UK Driving Licence and relevant mechanical qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Experience as a Plant Fitter or similar mechanical role is required.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems is needed.
• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs is essential.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices are important.

Responsabilités

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs on plant and machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic faults.
• Complete all work safely and in line with procedures.

Location: Roall Lane, Kellington, Near Goole, DN14 0NY

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, plus pre-auction weekends

Reporting To: Lead Plant Fitter

Pay: £17 to £25 p/h subject to skills and experience

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced

Plant Fitter to join a busy and well-established workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically minded individual with experience working on plant machinery, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, or commercial vehicles.

You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a variety of plant and machinery, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, inspections, and repairs on plant and machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic faults.
• Complete all work safely and in line with company procedures.
• Ensure high standards of workmanship are maintained at all times.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and workshop procedures.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will be a practical, hands-on engineer with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced workshop environment.

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Previous experience in a Plant Fitter or similar mechanical role
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
