Job summary

Murphy is recruiting a Finance Business Partner Analyst at the Hemel Hempstead Depot to deliver high-quality financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting across Murphy Plant. You will partner with plant operations and finance teams to drive performance and value.

Under the Plant Senior Finance Business Partner, you will prepare analyses, investigate variances, maintain master data, and support month-end closes.

Qualifications

• Working towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACA etc).
• Strong analytical and planning skills with solid accounting background.
• Experience partnering with multiple finance and operational areas.
• Ability to produce high-quality written communications for senior management.
• Excellent Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end reporting including journals, accruals, prepayments and reallocations.
• Prepare revenue, salary, overhead and analytics with supporting analysis.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate exceptions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Prepare asset reporting and variance analyses across projects.
