Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Plant Engineer for a workshop-based role at the Cambridge depot. You will service and maintain diesel plant equipment and work Monday to Friday with overtime at 1.5x.

The package includes £35,000-£38,000, increasing holidays and a company bonus, with training leading to internal progression within a long‑standing UK builder of construction equipment.

Commutable to Cambridge and join a team with 40 years of experience across multiple depots.

Are you a Plant Engineer or similar looking to progress your career in a static workshop-based role where you will benefit from ongoing training on new machinery, 1.5x overtime and bonuses within a Monday to Friday role?

On offer is the opportunity to join a longstanding construction equipment provider with numerous depots across the UK. They have nearly 40 years' experience and a team of highly skilled engineers and are now looking to bolster the team with new Engineers.

In this role you will be based in their Cambridge depot. You will be trained in how to test, service and maintain a range of construction equipment and machinery, ensuring that the performance and quality of the equipment is maintained. Training led by experts will be provided, leading to internal promotions within the business.

This role would suit a Plant Engineer or similar who is mechanically minded, looking for a workshop-based role that offers progression and ongoing training of a variety of equipment and a range of bonuses.
