Job summary

Tiro Contracts is seeking a Plant Technician in Romford to join a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role covers preventative and reactive maintenance across utilities, facilities, and production equipment, with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have an engineering qualification and experience in GMP settings, with strong fault finding, electrical, pumps and motors knowledge.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification such as City and Guilds, NVQ or BTEC level 2/3.
• Experience in maintenance, plant or utilities engineering.
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of pumps, motors, drives and electrical systems.
• Experience working in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food or FMCG environments.
• Ability to work safely and accurately within GMP procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance.
• Improve plant reliability across utilities and facilities systems.
• Support investigations into equipment failures and contribute to engineering improvements.

Plant Technician - Romford

Salary GBP50,655 + bonus + overtime

Mon-Fri 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm

A global Pharmaceutical manufacturer is seeking a Plant Technician to join its engineering operations team.

This position is ideal for an engineering professional with experience maintaining plant, utilities, facilities and manufacturing equipment within a regulated production environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and plant reliability across utilities, facilities systems and production support equipment. You will also contribute to engineering improvements and support investigations into equipment failures.

Key Requirements

• Engineering qualification such as City and Guilds, NVQ or BTEC level 2/3
• Experience in maintenance, plant or utilities engineering
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
• Knowledge of pumps, motors, drives and electrical systems
• Experience working in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food or FMCG environments
