Workshop Engineer - Plant Equipment

Location: Northamptonshire

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shifts

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Impact Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading plant equipment company based in Northamptonshire. We are seeking an experienced Workshop Engineer to join their dedicated team, working with machinery including Telehandlers, Platform Lifts, and other plant equipment used for hire, sales, and repair.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carrying out service, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of plant equipment.
2. Ensuring all machinery is operating safely and efficiently before return to hire or sale fleet.
3. Fault-finding, both mechanical and electrical, on a variety of plant items.
4. Keeping accurate service and maintenance records in line with company procedures.
5. Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Proven experience working with plant equipment, particularly Telehandlers, Manitou, or similar machinery.
2. Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs to a high standard.
3. Must possess own tools suitable for plant repair work.
4. Good understanding of health and safety practices in a workshop setting.
5. Full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
