Job Description:

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Plant and Facilities Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the Effluent Treatment Plant onsite ensuring that it runs smoothly and efficiently. The Plant Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of quality and safety within the facility as well as managing the sites waste streams.

Responsibilities

• Running the day to day operations of the Effluent Treatment Plant.
• Working in cooperation with other departments on and off site to ensure effective management of the plant
• Maintain relationships with contractors who consult on and service the plant
• Report to site management as required
• Responsible for the training and coaching of operators in relation to the Effluent Treatment Plant to ensure it is run in line with legal requirements
• Checking and recording of paperwork
• Managing factory waste streams
• Perform stock takes of bulk chemicals used for site and reorder appropriately
• Ensuring site remains tidy and organised working with the wider team to ensure site is well presented
• Unloading and organising deliveries as and when they arrive to site
• Co-ordinating site maintenance

Requirements

• Process orientated with the ability to identify, resolve and elevate problems where necessary
• Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail while working under pressure.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication.
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
• Previous experience of operating a forklift
