South Norfolk and Broadland Councils are seeking a Planning Policy Assistant to join our Place Shaping Team and contribute to monitoring and shaping sustainable development across Greater Norwich. You will gather and assess evidence, support consultations, prepare reports and guidance, and work with GIS, Power BI and digital mapping tools to present policy information clearly.

This role offers flexible working hours and the chance to influence infrastructure planning and neighbourhood

Responsibilities

• Gather and assess evidence to support policy development and monitoring.
• Support consultation and engagement activities with stakeholders and residents.
• Prepare reports and guidance for planning policy across Broadland and South Norfolk.
• Contribute to projects shaping how land is used and developed, including neighbourhood plans and infrastructure planning.
• Utilize GIS, Power BI and digital mapping tools to present policy information clearly.
