Job summary

South Norfolk and Broadland Councils are seeking a Planning Policy Assistant to join the Place Shaping Team in Greater Norwich. You will help monitor policy delivery, support neighbourhood and infrastructure planning, and gather evidence using GIS, Power BI and digital mapping tools.

You will work with developers, elected members and residents to present monitoring information clearly and influence future policies, while developing professional planning skills in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Gather and assess evidence to support policy monitoring and planning.
• Support consultation and engagement activities with communities and stakeholders.
• Prepare reports and guidance to inform planning policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and review planning policy and deliver sustainable development across Broadland and South Norfolk.
• Contribute to the Greater Norwich Local Plan 2045, neighbourhood plans and infrastructure planning.
• Collaborate with developers, elected members and residents to ensure information is accurate and clearly presented.
