Job summary

Herefordshire Council is seeking Planning Officers to manage householder and smaller-scale applications across Herefordshire, with two area teams and coverage of Hereford city and surrounding towns. You will work in a supportive planning team, developing professionally toward RTPI membership and gaining exposure to a wide range of development proposals.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including English and Maths.
• 2 A Levels or equivalent qualifications.
• Degree in a non-planning discipline, or HNC/degree in a planning-related discipline.
• Technical or Student Membership of the RTPI.

Responsibilities

• Handle a wide range of householder and smaller scale planning applications.
• Work across Herefordshire with two area teams and city Hereford coverage.
• Support delivery of a new Local Plan and high-quality outcomes for communities.
• Develop professional knowledge and progress towards RTPI membership.
