Job summary

Herefordshire Council is seeking two Planning Officers to join the Development Management Team on a permanent basis. You will handle a mix of householder and small-scale applications across Herefordshire, contributing to a new Local Plan and sustainable outcomes for communities.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including English and Maths at C/4 or above.
• 2 A Levels or equivalent qualifications.
• Degree or HNC in planning-related discipline or non-planning discipline.
• Technical or student RTPI membership is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Handle a wide range of householder and smaller scale applications.
• Respond to service requests and enquiries.
• Work across Herefordshire countryside and Hereford city contexts.
• Contribute to development of a new Local Plan.
• Support professional development and CPD within the team.
