Job summary

Malvern Hills and Wychavon District Councils are recruiting two Planning Officers to join our expanding planning service. The roles offer a varied caseload, supportive team ethos, and genuine opportunities for professional development and progression.

You will attend Planning Committee meetings, undertake site visits, and manage a range of planning applications with up-to-date planning law knowledge. Base locations: Malvern or Pershore.

Qualifications

• Experience handling minor and other category planning applications and householder applications.
• Up-to-date knowledge of planning law and practice.
• MRTPI membership or progression toward full membership; committed to CPD.

Responsibilities

• Attend Planning Committee meetings and undertake site visits.
• Travel around the district for site visits.
• Manage a caseload of applications and contribute to service delivery.
