Job summary

The Planner Jobs Redactive Publishing Limited is seeking a Planning Officer for a Local Authority in the West Midlands. You will manage your own caseload, handling householder and minor applications, with a strong grasp of UK planning legislation and good communication. A town planning degree is required.

The role is paid at £35/hr umbrella, inside IR35, initially for 3 months, with a hybrid pattern (office twice weekly, Tuesday). A car/vehicle is advantageous for this position.

Job description

Our client is a Local Authority in the West Midlands which requires a Planning Officer to join their Development Management team to manage their own caseload of planning applications. These are expected to be householder and minor applications.

To apply you will ideally have recent experience within a local authority development management team, however, consultancy experience is also welcome. A good grasp of UK planning legislation is required and you will need to have good communication skills and a positive attitude towards furthering your knowledge and gaining more technical experience. A relevant town planning degree is required.

The role is based in South East London and will pay £35/hr umbrella. This role is insider IR35.

It is initially a 3 month contract with potential for extension.

Our client offers a hybrid working arrangement, you will work from the office twice a week. One of those days will be a Tuesday.

You must have access to your own car/vehicle.
