Job summary

Mace Construct Limited in London is seeking an experienced Planning Lead to manage detailed project programmes for complex projects at Heathrow scale and beyond. You will work with the planning function on allocated projects, verify tenders, and ensure plans are aligned, scheduled and monitored to deliver on time and profitably.

The role requires advanced Primavera P6 skills, deep understanding of Earned Value Management, NEC4 contract administration, and a collaborative, client‑facing approach.

Qualifications

• Produce programmes and sequence plans with minimal supervision.
• Advanced Primavera P6 user; provide schedules in multiple formats to suit audience.
• Understanding of Earned Value Management techniques and reporting to project/client teams.
• Understanding of and experience with NEC4 form of contract administration.
• Experience in built environment projects and related industry qualifications.
• Familiarity with RIBA stages and associated processes.
• Ability to respond to client/stakeholder requests effectively and sensitively.
• Strong communication and presentation of programme drivers and issues to project teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops detailed plans taking full cognisance of logistics/site/project constraints.
• Interfaces with Project Team, contributing to the weekly progress report and understanding contractual obligations.
• Reviews and captures productivity to measure progress.
• Communicates effectively with the client, project team and stakeholders.
• Incorporates sustainable design and procurement processes within integrated programmes.
• Ensures health and safety through programme integration.
• Establishes and oversees project work plans and deadlines.
• Undertakes tasks required to fulfil the requirements of the project/assignment.
• Coordinates activities for the team and drives collaboration.
• Contributes to decarbonisation efforts and carbon management during delivery.
