Job summary

Staffline is supporting an aerospace manufacturing organisation in recruiting a Planning Manager. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving planning performance across a complex operation, aligning demand, capacity and materials to deliver excellent service.

You will lead the Planning team, work with Operations, Supply Chain and senior stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in planning processes. A demanding environment with regulated manufacturing experience is desirable.

• Strong ERP/MRP system knowledge.
• Experience managing schedules, capacity and inventory.
• Aerospace or regulated environment desirable.

This is a key leadership role responsible for driving planning performance across a complex manufacturing operation. Working closely with Operations, Supply Chain and senior stakeholders, you'll ensure customer demand, production capacity and material availability are aligned to deliver outstanding service and operational performance.

Main Duties - Planning Manager

• Lead and develop the Planning team
• Translate customer demand into achievable production plans
• Balance demand, capacity and material availability
• Drive schedule adherence and delivery performance
• Support S&OP and wider planning activities
• Identify risks, constraints and recovery actions
• Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain and Engineering teams
• Drive continuous improvement across planning processes and systems

The Ideal Candidate - Planning Manager

• Previous experience in a Planning Manager, Master Scheduler or Production Planning role
• Strong manufacturing planning background
• Experience leading and developing teams
• Good understanding of ERP/MRP systems
• Experience managing production schedules, capacity and inventory
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Aerospace, defence or another regulated manufacturing environment desirable
