Omega Plc, based in Cheltenham, UK, is seeking a Planning Manager to lead a high-performing planning team and align demand with production capacity and materials. You will partner with Operations, Supply Chain and Engineering to deliver superior service and robust performance.

Key focus areas include driving schedule adherence, managing risks, and supporting S&OP. A strong background in ERP/MRP and stakeholder communication is essential, with aerospace/defence exposure as a plus.

Job description

Omega are delighted to be supporting a leading aerospace manufacturing organisation in the recruitment of a Planning Manager. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving planning performance across a complex manufacturing operation. Working closely with Operations, Supply Chain and senior stakeholders, you'll ensure customer demand, production capacity and material availability are aligned to deliver outstanding service and operational performance.

Main Duties - Planning Manager

• Lead and develop the Planning team
• Translate customer demand into achievable production plans
• Balance demand, capacity and material availability
• Drive schedule adherence and delivery performance
• Support S&OP and wider planning activities
• Identify risks, constraints and recovery actions
• Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain and Engineering teams
• Drive continuous improvement across planning processes and systems
• Previous experience in a Planning Manager, Master Scheduler or Production Planning role
• Strong manufacturing planning background
• Experience leading and developing teams
• Good understanding of ERP/MRP systems
• Experience managing production schedules, capacity and inventory
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Aerospace, defence or another regulated manufacturing environment desirable
• Salary up to £70,000
