Job summary

VIQU Energy in Liverpool is seeking a Planning Lead to support the development of battery storage projects across the UK. You will manage planning applications, discharge planning conditions and secure amendments to existing permissions.

Working closely with local authorities, consultants and internal teams, you will advise on planning risks and opportunities and help keep projects progressing. Experience in energy or renewables is beneficial, with a strong UK planning system knowledge and

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' experience in town planning.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Town Planning or a related subject.
• Chartered RTPI membership or eligibility.
• Experience managing planning applications, conditions and amendments.
• Good knowledge of UK planning legislation and procedures.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning applications, conditions and amendments, including Section 73 and Section 96A.
• Provide planning advice in line with UK legislation and local policies.
• Liaise with local authorities, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Support site feasibility assessments and new development opportunities.
• Work alongside environmental, legal and engineering teams.
• Monitor planning policy changes and represent the business at relevant meetings.
