Planning Lawyer – East Herts District Council

Salary: Up to £62,169 per annum

Once a month in-person attendance required for Planning Committees.

Venn Group has partnered with East Herts District Council to appoint an experienced Planning Lawyer to join its forward-thinking team. This role offers the opportunity to influence the development of a vibrant area, including projects like a new 10,000-home garden town.

About the Role

As the council’s sole Planning Lawyer, you will:

• Provide expert legal advice on complex planning issues, including Section 106 agreements, enforcement, and public inquiries.
• Support high-profile projects shaping East Hertfordshire’s future.
• Advise and guide elected members and officers, with a key role in Planning Committees.
• Develop innovative solutions to legal challenges within a dynamic planning authority.
