CMS UK’s Planning team is seeking a Knowledge Counsel / PSL to support major development and energy & infrastructure projects across the UK. You’ll join a Band 1 ranked team with strong development opportunities and hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified solicitor.
• Strong interest in planning, knowledge, research, business development and innovation.
• Experience in a recognised planning team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong academic background.
• Commercially oriented with a commitment to innovation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Well-organised with strong administration and time management; able to meet demanding deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge management – collecting and maintaining knowledge generated by the planning team and other sources.
• Precedents and styles – drafting and keeping up to date.
• Research and advisory work – in support of the Team’s client work.
• Training – development, oversight and delivery.
• Business development / marketing – supporting publications and content and initiatives.
• Innovation and systems – lead role in driving AI strategy and deploying firm resources.
• Teamwork – liaising with Knowledge Counsel colleagues and the Planning team.
