Job summary

Pinsent Masons LLP is seeking a Managing Senior Associate to lead planning and infrastructure matters within our Energy & Infrastructure practice in London, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Edinburgh or Glasgow.

You will advise on complex consenting strategies, manage major projects and develop strong client relationships across sectors including energy, transport and water, while contributing to the growth of the practice across the UK.

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ post‑qualification experience in planning and infrastructure within a large regional or national practice
• England & Wales qualified solicitor
• Commercial awareness and client‑facing mindset with collaborative approach

Responsibilities

• Advise on consenting strategies under Planning Act 2008, Transport and Works Act 1992, and Town and Country Planning Act 1990
• Support Development Consent Order applications and other major planning and infrastructure consents
• Advise on compulsory acquisition, environmental impact assessment and habitats regulations
• Support clients through inquiries, examinations and judicial review
• Build trusted client relationships and grow network to contribute to business development
• Collaborate with colleagues across Property, Energy and Infrastructure teams
