Job summary

Chadwick Nott is seeking a Planning Associate or Senior Associate in Exeter for a permanent, full-time role with hybrid flexibility. The position offers a salary of £75,000 to £90,000 DOE and involves handling major planning projects for a leading regional law firm.

You will work on large-scale developments, energy schemes and planning obligations while advising housebuilders, land promoters and authorities. Strong client relationships are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' PQE in planning law
• Strong technical skills in residential development and/or energy work
• Excellent communication, organisation and drafting abilities
• Confidence working under pressure and meeting deadlines
• Meticulous, detail-driven approach
• Proven ability to build strong client relationships

Responsibilities

• Large scale strategic development projects
• Nationally significant energy and infrastructure schemes
• Handling planning obligations and Community Infrastructure Levy
• Advising on lawful development certificates and highways matters
• Supporting housebuilders, land promoters and local authorities
• Assisting on acquisitions and disposals
• Managing contentious planning matters including enforcement and appeals
• Running matters independently while collaborating with partners
