NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde seeks a Planning and Improvement Manager to support their transformative strategy in healthcare. This role involves collaboration across teams, driving system change, and developing innovative care models to enhance urgent care delivery. Ideal candidates will have experience in strategy and operations, with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million, extending to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
This is an exciting time for NHSGGC as we implement our new Transforming Together strategy to support Health & Social Care Reform.
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Corporate Planning Team as a Planning and Improvement Manager, reporting to the Head of Planning and Improvement.
You will collaborate with leaders to implement our new 3-year transformation plan. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds with experience in strategy, transformation, or operations, whether from the public sector or consultancy. Healthcare/NHS experience is advantageous but not required. You may already be in an operational or managerial role or looking to transition into a strategy position.
The role involves supporting the planning and implementation of our Interface Care Division, aimed at transforming urgent care delivery. Responsibilities include driving system-wide transformation, developing strategy, fostering collaboration, and supporting innovative care models such as the FNC +Plus virtual hospital, Electronic Triage, and Rapid Assessment and Care (RAaC) units.
The successful candidate will work independently across the organization and with system partners to ensure alignment of strategies and implementation plans.
This is a unique opportunity to advance your career within a dynamic department supporting NHSGGC's ambitious transformation agenda.
