An innovative company is seeking a Planning Engineer to join their Body Test Operations team. This role involves coordinating the planning and management of physical prototype test properties, ensuring the smooth delivery of components for client programs. You will lead the end-to-end process for IP&C assemblies, collaborating closely with engineering teams to gather requirements and manage Bills of Materials. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge automotive technology within a dynamic environment. If you have a background in engineering and project management, this could be the perfect role for you.
Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for a Planning Engineer (Body Test Operations) to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a 12-month contract position initially until 31st March 2026, with the potential for further extensions.
Umbrella Pay Rate: Up to £33.64 per hour.
The BTO Team is responsible for planning and managing physical prototype test properties that support the development and approval of body components for client programmes. These properties, often called 'rigs', typically include a painted body shell with only the necessary parts for specific tests, rather than a fully assembled vehicle, along with supporting 'kits' of parts.
For new models in development, we also plan, build, and manage numerous Instrument Panels and Floor Consoles (IP&C) assemblies to support development and sign-off testing. You will lead activities related to these IP&C properties.
