As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the Planning function with key interface to the other business units/planners.
- Leading, mentoring, and coaching the team on schedule prioritisation and scope availability.
- Developing, controlling, monitoring, analysing, and reporting on schedule-related aspects for the designated project.
- Establishing and monitoring resource-loaded, logic-linked baseline plans for the project in accordance with project and corporate processes.
- Capturing project budgetary costs and resources in the plan to determine time phasing of expenditure and the total project budget.
- Maintaining and controlling project baselines in line with client’s procedures and guidance.
- Ensuring the reasons for, and the factors influencing each change to the project’s baseline plan and the implications of such change are understood and communicated with the wider project team.
- Assisting the lead planner with EVM (Earned Value Management) evaluation and practice within the project schedules.
- Challenging schedule and cost variances against the baseline plan and wider portfolio.
- Regular interfacing and integration with the project controls team to maintain an aligned portfolio through the Project Plan(s).
- Discussing and reviewing plans with management and other stakeholders to identify construction priorities and communicate the strategy.
Who we're looking for:
- Experience across the project lifecycle (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation/Commissioning processes).
- Civil/Mechanical focus.
- Excellent Primavera (P6) knowledge and experience.
- Experience in building cost and resource-loaded plans.
- High level of numeracy and excellent analytical skills.
- Experience/understanding in the interpretation of estimating, scheduling, programming, and risk tools in the Project Controls market.
- Experience/understanding of Earned Value Analysis.
- Relevant experience in Project Controls and/or Project Delivery, preferably in a highly regulated environment.
- Ability to interact confidently with a project team.
