Job summary

Wrexham County Borough Council is seeking a Planning Enforcement Lead to guide a team of officers in enforcing planning controls across the county borough. You will report to the Head of Service Planning Development Management and contribute to service improvements.

The role requires a degree or postgraduate qualification, relevant experience, and a driving license. RTPI membership is desirable, and you will demonstrate leadership and strong communication skills while balancing home and office

Qualifications

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject is required.
• Must have relevant experience and hold a valid driving license.
• Membership of the RTPI would be desirable.
• Demonstrate leadership abilities and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Line manage a team of 3 Planning Enforcement Officers.
• Investigate and resolve breaches of planning control across the County Borough.
• Collaborate with Lead Officers and Head of Service to improve the service and shape its future direction.
• Undertake site visits and attend Committee meetings as required.
• Work with flexible/home/office arrangements and attend in-person meetings when needed.
