Overview

About the role....

Publicis Media is actively seeking a UK Planning Director to lead the day-to-day campaign planning across the Disney Studios UK team, one of Publicis Groupe’s largest assignments. In this pivotal role, you will work with a team of planning experts to deliver exciting and impactful paid media campaigns for some of the globe’s most iconic films and series.

You will be tasked with leading the media output for all six of Disney's Studios (Animation, Live Action, 20th Century Studios, Marvel, Pixar, Lucas, Searchlight) encompassing the three modes of distribution - Theatrical, Electronic Home Video, and Disney+ Studios. This broad scope allows for growth and development in all facets of film and content marketing. You’ll have the chance to show off your passion and expertise in the entertainment space to develop strategies for both films and series to ultimately deliver on Disney’s ambitious box office and viewing targets.


Responsibilities

About the work ....

  • Provide clear cross channel media planning leadership and support to 6 x Planners of differing levels
  • Manage 2 x Planning Associate Directors directly, supporting them in planning deliverables. Create and supervise their development plans
  • Assist in transforming client's business/marketing objectives into effective media strategies
  • Pinpoint the crux of each client request and provide succinct and targeted solutions
  • Conduct final quality checks on all planning responses and ad hoc requests
  • Consult with the Disney clients and internal teams on Digital and Non-Digital matters
  • Build and strengthen key vendor relationships for Disney's benefit
  • Provide exemplary client service while setting the standard for others
  • Inject an energetic, positive & assertive attitude into all client and internal engagements
  • Diplomatically diffuse escalated situations and provide targeted support
  • Apply structure and rigor to all client meetings and engagements
  • Push the team to think outside of the box and challenge the status quo
  • Articulate the current UK Media Landscape and the challenges and opportunities facing the Entertainment category
  • Drive strong cohesion between Publicis Imagine Investment & Planning teams
  • Summarise campaign status in a succinct manner up to Publicis Imagine leadership
  • Delegate across the planning team, whilst maintaining clarity on campaign status
  • Maintain an organized and composed demeanour through busy periods
  • Apply an efficient approach to all tasks, reviewing and suggesting process improvements to aid this
