Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced planning professional based in Ballymena, Northern Ireland. You will manage your own caseload, deliver site appraisals, planning statements, EIA screenings and related work, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and clients to drive successful planning outcomes.

The role requires RTPI-accredited training, 2+ years post-grad planning experience, and strong knowledge of the UK planning system, with renewable energy exposure seen as a bonus.

Qualifications

• RTPI accredited degree in Town Planning is required.
• Minimum of 2 years post-graduation professional planning experience.
• Excellent knowledge of the UK Planning system, especially Northern Ireland.
• Experience delivering and managing planning applications (minor/major).
• Renewable energy experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage own planning caseload and schedule.
• Deliver Site Appraisals, Planning Statements, EIA Screenings and related work.
• Coordinate in-house consultants and liaise with clients.
• Prepare, submit and monitor planning applications.
• Organise site visits and team meetings; manage subcontractors.
• Produce fee proposals and manage multiple projects across sectors.
