Job summary

North Hertfordshire District Council is seeking a Planning Compliance Officer to join the Planning Enforcement team. The role focuses on enforcing breaches of planning control, with duties including site visits, drafting notices, preparing reports and handling planning appeals.

You will need a degree in planning or a related subject and the ability to communicate effectively with the public, developers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in planning or related subject.
• Experience in enforcement or planning or related field.

Responsibilities

• Enforce breaches of planning control and undertake site visits.
• Draft formal planning related notices and write reports.
• Undertake planning related appeals.
• Work with Development Management team to ensure compliance.
• Support stakeholders and applicants in planning matters.
