The Opportunity

Are you a chartered Town Planner in the Birmingham/Midlands market looking to play a key role in our growth strategy? Do you have a proven track record in securing and delivering planning projects across the region? Have you led and mentored teams and have a keen eye for opportunities for growth? We are seeking a Town Planning Associate or Associate Director to join our Birmingham office, conveniently located in the city center with easy access to public transport. You will join one of the city's largest planning teams, working on projects including residential, mixed-use, commercial, industrial, and employment developments, as well as development plan promotion, planning applications, and appeals.

About You

You will be a chartered Town Planner operating at Associate or Associate Director level, with excellent technical planning skills and a commercial mindset. We value experience gained within the Birmingham/Midlands market, ideally from a competing consultancy or private sector organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Promoting large to medium-scale developments through the Local Plan and planning applications.
• Conducting research and site appraisals.
• Lodging appeals and possibly appearing at hearings, managing examination processes.
• Building and maintaining client relationships.
• Supporting business development across the Midlands.
• Coordinating project teams and ensuring quality assurance.
• Coaching and mentoring junior staff.
