Job summary

Planner - Policy role within a local planning authority, focused on developing the Local Plan and related evidence base. You will engage with consultees, stakeholders and the public to ensure robust policy-making in a forward-thinking council environment.

Applicants should hold a degree in planning, be RTPI Chartered or working towards Chartered membership, and be prepared to contribute to a proactive Planning Policy team.

Planner - Policy

Permanent

37 hours per week

Salary NS11 £40,444 to £42,123 per annum

We are looking for a proactive and committed Planner to join our busy Planning Policy team. As a ‘front runner’ authority you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of a Local Plan in the new plan making system.

We are looking for somebody who can make a real difference producing the Local Plan, preparing evidence base and policy, supporting consultees and the public in engaging in the process. You will be educated to degree level and hold Chartered Membership of RTPI, or equivalent body, or be working towards attaining full Chartered membership of the RTPI.
