Job summary

Greencore, a leading UK provider of convenience foods, is seeking a planning professional to convert forecasts into feasible production and material plans. The role emphasizes strong FMCG experience, SKU management, and ERP system usage, supporting efficient operations at Heathrow and across sites.

You'll collaborate with multiple teams to ensure material availability, minimize risks, and drive continuous improvements while maintaining audit readiness and high service levels.

Qualifications

• Time served understanding of planning process.

• Experience with multiple SKUs; short and long lead times.

Responsibilities

• Convert sales forecasts into production and material plans and schedules.
• Manage risks and amend orders to achieve service and stock targets.
• Share forecasts with suppliers and resolve material availability issues.
• Measure and publish obsolete/over stocks (finished product and/or raw materials).
• Maintain ongoing communication with operations to ensure accurate information exchange.
• Propose and implement continuous improvements in own area.
• Maintain audit readiness for GMP, H&S, Technical, Customer and Accreditation Bodies.
• Translate production plans into material requirements and supplier purchase orders.

What you’ll be doing

Shift -Mon - Fri (some weekends required)

• Utilise available planning systems to convert sales forecasts into achievable production and material plans and schedules that optimally balance customer service and operational cost efficiency
• Manage risks within the plan and amend orders where possible/practical to achieve customer service and stock targets
• Share forecasts with suppliers and work with them to resolve issues with materials availability
• Measure, minimise and publish expected obsolete/over stocks (finished product and/or raw materials)
• Champion ongoing communication with the operations teams to ensure accurate exchange of information
• Propose and implement continuous improvements in own area
• Maintain a state of perpetual audit-readiness for all audits (GMP, H&S, Technical, Customer, Accreditation Bodies etc.) to ensure working practices are compliant at all times
• Translate production plans into material requirements and convert them into supplier purchase orders
