Job summary

Score Group in Scotland is seeking a Production Planner to maintain and update the production schedule, firm work orders, and manage stock and shortages. You will drive schedule adherence using D365 data and participate in S&OP meetings.

The role requires manufacturing planning experience, strong Excel and ERP knowledge, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement and HSEQ excellence.

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing or scheduling experience in a production environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and Excel is desirable.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 or planning software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Firming and releasing work orders for production.
  • Forecasting materials and expediting shortages.
  • Participating in S&OP meetings and level loading production.
  • Managing D365 data and ensuring schedule adherence.
  • Driving client/business priorities through production.
  • Chairing RTL meetings and supporting holidays/leave calendars.

Job description

The Production Planner will be responsible for maintaining and updating the production schedule. Firming all work orders for production in a timely manner. Conducting stock and shortage analysis, highlighting any challenges to the schedule and on time delivery. Data management in D365, ensuring the MRP system is kept accurate and up to date. Participating in Sales and Operation Planning meetings.

Main Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions.
  • Firming and Releasing Work Orders for Production
  • Forecast & Materials management, reviewing & expediting shortages
  • Highlighting Risks to schedule/forecast
  • Participate in Sales & Operations Planning meetings.
  • Assist in level loading to meet production deliverables
  • D365 Data Management, including overseeing schedule adherence.
  • Drive client/business priorities through production
  • Chairing of the RTL meetings.
  • Support during Master Scheduler Holidays, leave etc.
Qualifications:
  • Production Scheduling/Planning experience gained within a manufacturing environment.
  • Preference for Microsoft 365 or Planning software advantageous but not essential.
  • Understanding of ERP systems & excellent Excel knowledge.

Experience (Essential)
  • Manufacturing or scheduling experience.
  • Previous experience in a planning function, particularly with respect to manufacturing areas is preferred.
Experience (Desirable)
  • Previous experience in mass / large batch production planning and scheduling.
  • Previous experience in use of Planning software or Microsoft D365 or a technical manufacturing background.
