Job summary

SES Engineering Services in the North West are seeking a Planner to join our team, focusing on technically complex mechanical and electrical projects across multiple sectors.

You will work with site teams and main contractors to ensure integrated programmes, study specifications and contract documents, and provide regular progress reporting. Travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication with site teams and contractors

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adequacy of planning and programming for projects, providing functional leadership per company procedures
  • Study specifications, drawings and contract documents in conjunction with engineers and surveyors to ensure planning adequacy
  • Carry out regular reporting on projects to help the site team understand programme progress
  • Liaise with the project team to ensure progress reports and drop-down programmes are produced and issued per SES best practice

What you'll be doing:

Our Planners are a valuable part of our business, and their role will encompass ensuring adequacy of the planning and programming of projects. Whilst providing functional leadership and following company procedures and project requirements to allow proper management and commercial protection to be achieved.

As ourSenior Planneryou will:

  • Work with the site team and main contractor to ensure the projects have fully integrated programmes sequenced in the correct manner to allow the successful completion of the project
  • Thoroughly studyspecifications,drawingsand relevant contract documents/ correspondence in conjunction with engineers and surveyors to ensure adequacy of the planning and programming of projects
  • Carry out regular reporting onprojects to allow the site team to understand the programme position in relation to progress
  • Liaisewith the project team to ensure progress reports, progress percentages and drop-down programmes, are produced and issuedin accordance withSES Best practice, companyproceduresand project requirements to allow proper management and commercial protection to be achieved
