Job Description:

We are currently supporting our client, a Local Authority based in the East Midlands, who are currently recruiting for a Planned Maintenance Surveyor on a two-month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, with the daily rate being £300 via an umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in the public sector, within social housing or a local authority, and preferably be HNC/RICS qualified.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

1. Managing programmes of work & individual projects from inception, through the works process, all the way to completion
2. Investigating & recommending material specifications and tenders for procurement in line with all association regulation and internal procedures
3. Undertaking five to six inspections per day
4. Covering major works inspections, including kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, and garages
5. Experience working within a local authority or social housing environment
6. Ideally hold a HNC

Working hours:

1. 37 hours per week
2. Monday – Friday
3. 9am-5pm (flexible)
