Job description
Overview

At Connect Plus Services (CPS), a joint venture between Balfour Beatty, Atkins and Egis, you will be based in Leatherhead and support the efficient service delivery of the M25 DBFO Network by undertaking incident response, hazard clearance and network maintenance. You will maintain the M25, Europe's busiest motorway, and deliver high quality safety and sustainability activities.

Responsibilities
  • Cyclical maintenance
  • Graffiti removal
  • Carriageway repairs
  • Soft estate maintenance (grass cutting)
  • Litter picking
  • Sign maintenance
  • Cleansing
  • Safety fence repairs
  • Boundary fence repairs
  • Other duties allocated by Line Managers

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Implement traffic management in line with CPS policies, method statements, risk assessments.
  • Maintain good written and verbal communication.
  • Undertake routine vehicle checks and maintain accurate driving records.
  • Take due care of CPS property, including tablets, vehicles and radios.
  • Raise awareness of issues that could affect safe operation and report observations.
  • Check equipment and tools for relevance and report faults or defects.
  • Participate in the Winter Service rota as required.
  • Attend training courses and maintain qualifications/competencies.
  • Live CPS values and ensure focus on Zero Harm.
  • Support the delivery of CPSUK's sustainability activities.
  • Hold a UK driving licence.
  • Hold a CSCS Operative Card.

  • NHSS12A/B 1‑Day qualification – TTMBC
  • 12AB Impact Protection Vehicle Courses (IPV)
  • 12AB for Static Temporary Traffic Management on High‑Speed Roads and All Purpose Trunk Road (APTR) network
  • ROLO Sector Scheme 18
  • Emergency First Aid – 1 day
  • Plant/small tools training
  • Disc cutter / Abrasive wheel
  • Gate Person
  • PPI
  • Successfully pass security check
  • Successfully pass annual driving licence check
  • Successfully pass pre‑employment drug and alcohol test and further tests upon request
  • Successfully pass company's health screening programme

Shift Pattern & Working Conditions
  • Expected to work a 4‑on, 4‑off shift pattern, rotating equally between four day shifts and four night shifts.
  • Day shifts: 06:00‑18:00 or 07:00‑19:00.
  • Night shifts: 18:00‑06:00 or 19:00‑07:00.
  • Each shift includes two 30‑minute breaks.
  • Reasonable level of travel around the M25 network and between depots.
  • Travel to meetings, training and work sites outside the normal operational area.
  • Expected to participate in out‑of‑hours call‑out rotas (e.g., Winter Maintenance).
