Job summary

BMW Financial Services (GB) Ltd. in Farnborough offers a Risk and Treasury Controlling placement year (July 2027). You will join the Finance Department and support risk costing, funding and monthly reporting in a collaborative team.

Expect hands-on responsibilities, training in Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, SAS, and basic SQL, plus opportunities to present to Management Committees and interact with various stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must be studying for a degree in Accounting/Management Science/Business/Economics or equivalent.
• Intermediate Excel skills and willingness to advance in Excel-related tasks.
• Learning SAS using point-and-click interface to create queries and reports.
• Ability to collate data from multiple sources and prepare reports for stakeholders.
• Strong communication, influencing and facilitation skills; able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of weekly and monthly reporting tasks to manage independently.
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting risk costs, monthly risk provisions and ad hoc queries.
• Work on real responsibilities such as weekly inter-company loan requests and interest rate swaps.
• Shadow risk and treasury teams to understand the wider business and build stakeholder relationships.
