Job summary

BWB Consulting in the UK is offering a summer placement for civil/structural engineering students. You’ll work on highway, drainage and earthworks projects, assisted by our engineers and technicians, with input from day one.

The role runs from Summer 2027 to Summer 2028 and provides genuine responsibility, learning opportunities, and exposure to AutoCAD and industry software in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Currently studying towards a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and other industry software.
• Enthusiasm and ambition to learn and progress.
• Problem solving and strong communication skills.
• Personal organisation and the ability to work well within a team.
• Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design solutions and AutoCAD drawings on civil projects.

What you’ll be doing

You will have specific projects to work on. A genuine role, with genuine responsibility. You'll work alongside your colleagues and be expected to make an input into the achievement of team goals from day one. This role will be from Summer 2027 to Summer 2028.

You will be working in our infrastructure division that specialises in highways, drainage, earthworks, geotechnics, bridges/civil engineering structures and project & design management.

You will assist with design solutions and AutoCAD drawings for our civil engineering projects, fully supported by our experienced team of engineers and technicians.
