Job summary

Cummins Inc is seeking a Customer Support placement student for our Supply Chain Planning team at the Redditch site. You will learn how a global organization operates and support customer inquiries, order tracking, and data management during your placement year, starting Summer 2027.

You will work with Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, and related teams to deliver timely updates and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Studying toward a degree in Business, Customer Service, Management, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support customers with inquiries relating to orders, deliveries, products, and account information.
• Monitor and manage customer cases, ensuring timely updates and resolution.
• Work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, and other internal departments to support customer needs.
• Assist with order tracking and communication of delivery updates.
• Help maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
• Support reporting activities and analyze customer service trends where required.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the customer experience.
• Participate in team meetings, projects, and continuous improvement activities.
