Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley offers a 12-month placement in Learning and Development to build essential skills for a successful career within the team. You will support direct tasks across learning initiatives, apprenticeship recruitment, and programme coordination.

You will liaise with training providers, assist with recruitment activities, and help manage delegate accommodation while gaining insight into organisational development and performance support.

About The Role

Our 12-month placement programme offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience and develop the key skills needed to build a successful career in Learning and Development. As part of our wider People team, the Learning and Development function supports the ongoing growth and development of our employees through a range of learning initiatives, development programmes and early careers opportunities. We also manage the recruitment and development of apprentices, graduates and placement students across the business. This role will give you the opportunity to contribute to a variety of tasks and projects, while developing a strong understanding of how the team supports business performance and employee development.

What You’ll Do

• Support the management of incoming enquiries by monitoring the Learning and Development team inboxes.
• Process requests for work experience placements and coordinate associated administration.
• Liaise with training providers to enrol new apprentices and gather feedback on the progress of existing apprentices.
• Support the Early Careers Advisor with recruitment activities, including shortlisting applications and arranging careers fairs.
• Manage accommodation bookings for programme delegates.
• Develop an understanding of the organisation's learning and development programmes and support their planning, coordination and delivery.
• Maintain accurate records within our Training Management System and trackers
• Contribute to the planning and implementation of Learning and Development projects and initiatives.

What You'll Need

• You must be currently enrolled on a relevant full-time undergraduate degree.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.
• A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues
• Good IT skills, including confidence using Excel
• Willingness to travel to other locations occasionally
