The University of Reading is seeking a skilled placements professional to support curriculum-based placement preparation, guidance, and engaging workshops for students. You will collaborate with Placement Tutors, Careers Consultants and academics to drive employability and readiness for the workplace.

Key responsibilities include designing and delivering workshops, coordinating placement activity, and supporting students through their early careers journey within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with students in an early careers context, either higher education or within industry and recruitment.
• Experience in designing, co-producing and delivering workshops and facilitating large group training.
• Experience of facilitating student placements / internship schemes or similar in or outside of the curriculum.
• Experience of working with students in an advisory or support role.
• Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise, to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong IT, data management and administrative skills.

Responsabilités

• Support curriculum-based placement preparation and one-to-one guidance for students.
• Deliver engaging workshops and run events to boost employability and readiness for the workplace.
• Coordinate placement activities and assist with internship schemes within or beyond the curriculum.
• Collaborate with Placement Tutors, Careers Consultants and academic colleagues to support students.
• Assist in developing resources and guidance to enhance student confidence and career readiness.
